The Wilde Club ran for several months at the Man Alive in 1985 and was set up by members of the band Big Flame.
Some weeks bands played, including Chakk, That Petrol Emotion and The June Brides. My favourite songs were ‘You’ by Chakk and ‘Joy’s Address’ by The Float Up CP.

Unfortunately, both these records were stolen when I was burgled on New Year’s Eve 1999. One week, on the way to this club, I was abducted by two lunatics on the street but managed to escape, fight them off, ring the police and carry on to the club because I liked it so much! I was very brave back then.
